What started out as a side-hustle selling her clothing range at market stalls, has now blossomed into a successful children’s brand. Designed to withstand the test of time, Oobi is manufactured using 100% cotton which is screen-printed by hand, ensuring consistency and vibrancy in every collection. Alexandra has nurtured relationships with her female-led production businesses in China and India, forging decade long connections with the artisans that produce her garments. With a passion for kindness, colour and happiness, Oobi is leading the way when it comes to customer service and giving back to the community. The inspiration behind Oobi’s Christmas collection is bright, festive fun with pops of Oobi’s signature red, designed to be mixed and matched with siblings, friends and even their dolls! Oobi has become well known for their collection of fun mix-and-match prints! That’s where Alexandra started out, by creating and developing prints to mix together and create a unique and quirky look. “Oobi Red” as it’s known by their customers, features heavily in many collections. It’s at Christmas where these colours and prints truly shine, with their fun, bright and elegant pieces that stand out in any crowd. Oobi’s beautiful clothing collection has something for everyone including hats, special occasion tulle dresses and new season floral prints. We love the red gingham too, perfect for Santa photos!
Oobi’s Ethos
From day one, Oobi has been driven by the ethos “Let Them Be Little” which is a philosophy that drives them. It extends from the children (their customers), to the whole Oobi team to be inclusive and diverse. As a business, their passion is to spread joy, happiness and nostalgic reminders of childhood to everyone around!
More than ten years ago, Oobi developed a “One-for-One” program that pledges to donate a piece of “Oobi Magic” for new arrivals sold online. Over the years they’ve donated more than $300,000 worth of clothing, vouchers and special events to children all over Australia. Oobi also created and donated thousands of hand printed fabric masks during the pandemic – these went to frontline workers, but also to fire fighters during our worst bushfires in recent history.
