What families say: Soft, stretchy cotton, just the right weight for in-between weather, and it washes beautifully. Families who outgrow one buy the next size up. Read all 49 reviews

Butter yellow. Excellent on toast, even better in a cardigan.

Willow is our snuggly one: soft 100% cotton with a subtle cable, hand-finished details and a relaxed shape that slides on over a dress with a chunky knit vibe. The butter yellow brings sunshine to grey mornings, and the fabric-covered buttons come with a spare for future button-related plot twists. Pair it with a jersey dress for an extra layer of colour.

REASONS TO LOVE IT

Soft 100% cotton chunky knit with natural stretch
Subtle cable texture and hand-finished details
Fabric-covered buttons, plus a spare
Relaxed shape that layers easily over dresses and tees
True to size. A chunkier knit that sits a little less fitted than our Maxine

Cold day, colour still compulsory. Browse all girls' knitwear.

THE STORY BEHIND THIS PIECE

Butter yellow is having a main-character season, and this cardigan understood the assignment.

The Willow Butter Yellow Cardigan is knitted in soft 100% cotton with natural stretch, subtle cable texture and hand-finished details. Its relaxed shape layers easily over dresses, tops and everyday outfits.

Fabric-covered buttons finish the look, with a spare included. Sunny, cosy and considerably more practical than carrying actual butter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will her cardigan arrive before Christmas?

Order by Friday 18 December for standard delivery in Australia before Christmas, or by Sunday 20 December with Express. WA, NT and remote areas can take a few days longer, so get in early.

Sending a gift? Post it straight to them, and whoever opens it can swap the size within 90 days of the order (sale items get store credit).

How do cm sizes, like 120, match Oobi's age sizes?

Lots of labels show her height in centimetres. Ours go by age, so match her height to our sizes: 3Y fits 98 to 104cm, 4Y 104 to 110cm, 5Y 110 to 116cm, 6Y 116 to 122cm, 7Y 122 to 128cm, 8Y 128 to 134cm, 9-10Y 134 to 146cm and 11-12Y 146 to 158cm.

So size 120 is our 6Y. No tape measure handy? Go by her age if she's average height.

Wrong size? We have a generous 90-day exchange or return window. If you need to swap sizes, your first order exchange is on us, postage both ways.

How do I keep the colours bright?

Cold machine wash with a mild detergent, no bleach or brighteners, then line dry or dry flat in the shade. Add a pinch of salt to the first wash of a bright print, and don't leave it sitting wet in the machine.

Is this cardigan 100% cotton?

Yes, 100% cotton, so it’s soft and breathable. Ngaire in our reviews says pure cotton is great for her granddaughter's eczema-prone skin, so that's a bonus.
